Macross Frontier English Blu-ray release will start pre-orders by the end of the year, for a 2027 first half release. Macross Delta should follow quickly. We'll see if the French releases through Anime Ltd French subsidiary are still scheduled.
The most interesting slide is the one about streaming on Disney+, right below.
Early 2025 during AX, Big West international strategy producer claimed that they were actively working on expanding content across more regions and languages. It seems that this stance has changed somewhat, since Big West is now kindly putting responsibility on Disney+ for not bringing content worldwide.
What's bothering me is that Big West is the Macross franchise rights owner. It was supposedly their job to make sure Disney+ would stream content worldwide, right before teaming up with the service. So, it wasn't done after all? Or was it done knowingly?
In any case, I think it's pretty clear now that the Macross expansion on Disney+ is over. Content won't show up beyond Asia and English territories on streaming, until a change of service which could happen in many years. It’s also concerning for the upcoming Macross project international simulcast.
